Showcase (Term 2):
In Term 2, students engage in the creation of short, devised performances that explore real-world issues and constants. They delve into themes that are relevant to the world around them, using their voices to express their unique perspectives. This showcase is a celebration of the skills they have developed, with each performance reflecting the personal growth and creative journey of the students. The final showcase will be presented in week 10, providing a platform for students to shine and share their work with an audience.
Production (Term 3 & 4):
Terms 3 and 4 are dedicated to the creation of a full theatre production. Students will work collaboratively on adapting a play by a professional playwright, infusing it with their own creative interpretations and personal touch. This project encourages students to explore deeper levels of artistic expression and teamwork, as they transform the original script into a unique performance. The culmination of their hard work will be a fully staged production, presented at the end of Term 4, showcasing their talent, creativity, and dedication.
